Barnum
Barnum, a west-side Denver neighborhood, takes its name from the legendary showman P.T. Barnum, who once owned the 760 acres that now shape this community. This flag pays tribute to that legacy with a striking red elephant—a nod to Barnum’s famous circus—set against a bold golden background. While Barnum was an influential figure in entertainment history, his success was built in part on the exploitation of performers and animals. This flag acknowledges both the neighborhood’s unique heritage and the need to recognize the full story behind its namesake.
