Harvey Park

The design is a tribute to the neighborhood’s distinctive mid-century modern character and architectural heritage. The flag’s colors and design reflect the essence of the California Ranch-style homes that define the area, many of which were designed by renowned architect Cliff May, credited with pioneering this unique style in 1932.

Horizontal stripes echo the low, horizontal profile of these homes, which blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment, while the earthy tones represent the connection between the indoors and outdoors that defines the style. May’s visionary designs, known for their relaxed connection to nature, are still celebrated today for their innovative use of space and emphasis on a harmonious relationship with the land.

Harvey Park stands as a shining example of mid-century modern design in southwest Denver, and this flag pays homage to its architectural distinction and the lasting influence of Cliff May on the neighborhood's aesthetic identity.
