Marston
Before the 1960s, when this southwestern Denver neighborhood was subdivided and developed, John Marston tended to his cattle and cultivated the area’s gently rolling hills. A pioneer farmer who arrived in the 1850s, Marston’s contributions to irrigation and agriculture helped shape the region’s early development. The neighborhood now includes Marston Lake, named in honor of the early farmer.
Today, the community is primarily composed of single-family homes and suburban commercial strips. The flag thoughtfully reflects this blend of history and character, with blue symbolizing the bodies of water throughout the area and green representing its agricultural roots. This flag serves as a tribute to the neighborhood’s transformation while honoring its natural and historical legacy.
